These terms cover Lens, a free digital publication supplied by Harmonic Futures Pty Ltd (ACN 688 599 537; ABN 88 688 599 537), Queensland, Australia.

1. The service

Lens explains important stories and shows the sources it uses. Lens publishes fresh answers throughout the week and preserves them in a numbered weekly issue. Stories may include deep investigations, focused reports and shorter answers. Lens does not provide legal, financial, medical or other professional advice. Lens separates evidence, claims and explanations, but it does not promise that its content is complete or free from errors.

2. Free access and email subscription

Lens stories and issues are publicly available without payment. You may subscribe for free to receive new issues by email. No payment card is required. You can unsubscribe using the link in any subscription email.

3. Advertising

Lens may carry clearly labelled advertising and sponsorship. Payment buys advertising space only. It does not buy coverage, favourable wording or control over editorial decisions. An advertiser's own terms apply when you choose to visit its website or buy from it.

4. Acceptable use

You may read and share links or short parts of Lens when you name Lens as the source. You must not collect large amounts of content automatically, falsely present Lens work as your own, sell access, interfere with the service or use it unlawfully.

5. Reader requests

Readers may ask Lens to magnify a question. A request does not guarantee investigation, publication, attribution, timing or a preferred conclusion. You keep ownership of material you submit and give Harmonic Futures permission to store, assess, edit, quote and publish the question and supporting explanation for Lens editorial purposes. Do not submit confidential material, unnecessary personal information, unlawful content or allegations you cannot support. Lens may decline, narrow or stop a request when the evidence, public interest, safety or available resources require it.

6. Other services

Lens links to sources provided by other organisations. Those organisations control their own content, availability and privacy practices. A link shows where information came from. It does not mean that Lens supports every statement made by that source.

7. Liability

Where the law allows it, we are not responsible for indirect loss or for decisions made only from Lens content. Where the law allows us to limit a legal guarantee, our responsibility is limited to providing the service again or paying the cost of doing so.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms for future use of the service. Queensland law governs these terms. Courts with authority in Queensland may decide disputes about them.
